The Type 05 amphibious armored vehicle is a family of tracked amphibious fighting vehicles developed by Norinco for the People's Liberation Army Navy Marine Corps of China, entering service in 2005. It consists of two main combat variants, the ZBD-05 infantry fighting vehicle and the ZTD-05 assault vehicle, along with several support versions, and uses a hydroplane design described as making it the world's fastest amphibious combat vehicle. China is reported to be the only country producing this kind of high speed amphibious fighting vehicle.
