The DAF YP-408 is a Dutch 8x6 wheeled armoured personnel carrier built by DAF Trucks, with three of its four axles driven through DAF's characteristic H-drive system and powered by a 6-litre, six-cylinder diesel engine. Prototypes were developed in the late 1950s, and around 750 production vehicles were built during the 1960s. The YP-408 entered service with the Dutch army in 1964 and remained in use until 1987.
