ATMOS, short for Autonomous Truck Mounted howitzer System, is a 155 mm, 52-calibre self-propelled gun manufactured by the Israeli firm Soltam Systems, now part of Elbit Systems, mounted on a long-ranged, fast-moving truck platform with computerized navigation and targeting and a barrel selectable between 39 and 52 calibres. It entered service in 2001 and can reach beyond 40 kilometers with ERFB-BB ammunition; it is operated by Albania, Azerbaijan, Botswana, Cameroon, Denmark, Moldova, the Philippines, Thailand, Rwanda, Uganda and Zambia, with Brazil, Colombia and Morocco named as future operators and Romania and Bulgaria evaluating it.
