Edged and other hand-to-hand weapons used in war: swords, sabres, daggers, knives and bayonets carried, thrown or fixed to a firearm for close combat, the standard edged-weapons class of ordnance reference works. Belongs here: any weapon system whose own attested weapon class names a sword, sabre, dagger, knife or bayonet.
