The AGS-30 is a Russian automatic grenade launcher developed by the KBP Instrument Design Bureau and manufactured at the Degtyarev plant, designed in 1990 and in Russian service since the mid-1990s with formal adoption in 2002. Firing 30mm grenades, it weighs about 16 kilograms unloaded, can be carried and fired by a single soldier, and has an effective range of about 2,100 meters at a rate of fire of roughly 400 rounds per minute, improving on the earlier AGS-17.
