The Mk 47, also known as the Striker 40, is a 40mm automatic grenade launcher with an integrated fire control system, capable of firing smart programmable air-burst grenades in addition to various unguided rounds. It can fire all NATO-standard high-velocity 40mm rounds used by weapons such as the Mk 19 grenade launcher, and it can also fire Mk 285 smart grenades, whose computerized sight allows the operator to program them to air-burst after a set distance.
