Tellermine 35

The Tellermine 35, or T.Mi.35, was a German metal cased anti tank mine used extensively during the Second World War. Its case, made of sheet steel, had a slightly convex pressure plate with a central fuze well on top and two secondary fuze wells on its side and bottom for anti handling devices. For use on beaches and underwater, the mine could be placed inside a specially designed earthenware or concrete pot that acted as a waterproof jacket. A later ribbed case variant, the T.Mi.35 (S), stopped sand from blowing off the mine's top surface in desert conditions. Finland also used the Tellermine 35 under its own designation, PANSSARIMIINA m/41.
