M141 Bunker Defeat Munition

The M141 Bunker Defeat Munition, also called the SMAW-D, is a disposable shoulder fired rocket launcher built to destroy fortified positions, adapted from the United States Marine Corps Mk 153 shoulder launched multipurpose assault weapon. It was originally made by McDonnell Douglas subsidiary Talley Defense Systems and is now produced by Nammo Defense Systems. The launcher vents propellant gas to the rear to counter recoil, which makes it hazardous to fire in confined spaces, and its high explosive dual mode warhead can penetrate reinforced concrete, brick, armor plate and sandbagged fortifications. It entered service in 1999 and has been used in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Russo-Ukrainian War, with the United States, Ukraine and Israel among its operators.
