The Kulspruta m/39, or ksp m/39, is a Swedish development of the Browning M1917 machine gun. It has been chambered for the 6.5x55mm and 8x63mm patron m/32 cartridges as well as the 7.62x51mm NATO round, is recoil operated and belt fed, uses iron sights, and fires at 600 to 720 rounds per minute with a maximum range of 1,800 to 2,400 meters. Approximately 7,600 were manufactured between 1937 and 1944. Primarily vehicle mounted, it could also serve as an anti-aircraft gun and remained in Swedish military service from 1939 into the present day.
