FN EVOLYS

The FN EVOLYS is a light machine gun designed by the Belgian firm FN Herstal in 2021, chambered in either 5.56x45mm NATO or 7.62x51mm NATO. Engineered to increase individual infantry firepower in urban warfare, it is select-fire and fully ambidextrous and, at roughly 5.5 kilograms in its 5.56mm form, is described as up to 30 percent lighter than comparable machine guns such as the FN Minimi.
