M134 Minigun

The M134 Minigun is an American 7.62 by 51 millimeter NATO six barrel rotary machine gun capable of firing between 2,000 and 6,000 rounds per minute through an electrically driven Gatling style barrel assembly. General Electric designed it in 1960 and introduced it to service in 1963, and it has since been built by General Electric, Dillon Aero, Garwood Industries and Profense. It has armed helicopters, aircraft and vehicles through the Vietnam War, the Soviet-Afghan War, the Falklands War, the Gulf War, the Iraq War and the War in Afghanistan.
