The QJB-201 Squad Machinegun, also known as the QJS-161 Paratrooper Machinegun, is a Chinese light machine gun designed and manufactured by Norinco for the People's Liberation Army Ground Force and Airborne Corps. It weighs 4.4 kilograms empty, measures 900 millimeters with its stock unfolded and has a 505 millimeter barrel, is chambered in 5.8x42mm DBP-191, fires at 700 to 800 rounds per minute with a muzzle velocity of 930 to 960 meters per second and an effective range of 600 to 800 meters, and feeds from a 30-round box magazine, a 75-round drum magazine, or a disintegrating belt of 100 to 150 rounds. It is gas operated with a short-stroke piston and open bolt, developed in 2016 and officially certified as the QJB-201 in 2020.
