The MAC mle 1931, officially the Mitrailleuse modele 1931, was a French machine gun used in French tanks of the World War II era as well as in fortifications such as the Maginot Line. It is also known as the JM Reibel, after the twin-gun mounting frame used in JM cloche cupolas on the Maginot Line, while the MAC mle 1931 name refers to the gun itself. Fixed fortifications standardized on the twin JM mount, while tanks and other armored vehicles generally carried a single gun.
