Pantsir missile system

The Pantsir is a family of self-propelled, medium-range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery systems developed by the KBP Instrument Design Bureau in Tula, Russia, and built by the Ulyanovsk Mechanical Plant. It combines guided missiles with twin 30mm autocannons on a wheeled truck chassis to provide point air defense for military and industrial sites against aircraft, helicopters, precision munitions, cruise missiles and drones at low to extremely low altitude. The Pantsir-S1 variant was adopted by the Russian Ground Forces in November 2012, with the modernized Pantsir-S2 entering service in 2015, and more than 200 units have been produced since 2008.
