Named military operations mounted from 1945 onward: the Cold War, post-colonial and post-Cold War era of special-forces raids, hostage rescues, airlifts and limited strikes given their own Operation codename. Belongs here: Operation Entebbe, the 1976 hostage rescue; Operation Eagle Claw, the 1980 failed Iran hostage rescue; Operation Neptune Spear, the 2011 raid that killed Osama bin Laden. Does not belong here: an operation mounted before 1945, which belongs to Modern instead. This split exists because, read at this atlas's current live population, every one of its military-operation entities falls inside one wide Modern-or-later band; without it the whole type renders flat under EntryCards.GroupBySub, which refuses to group any type with fewer than two label groups.
