AIM-174B Gunslinger

The AIM-174B Gunslinger is a very long range air to air missile developed by the American defense contractor Raytheon for use by the United States Navy. It is a derivative of the RIM-174B Standard Extended Range Active Missile, known as the SM-6, adapted for air launch and carried by the Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. Its existence was first publicly revealed in July 2024 at the RIMPAC exercise, though testing is believed to have begun years earlier. The missile has a confirmed range of about 150 miles and is believed capable of roles beyond air to air combat, including engaging other missiles.
