The K-5 was an early Soviet short-range air-to-air missile, entering service in 1957 as the Grushin/Tomashevich RS-2U, also known as RS-1U or product ShM. NATO gave it the reporting name AA-1 Alkali, and an improved variant served with the Soviet Air Defence Forces under the designations K-5M or RS-2US.
