The SSM-700K C-Star, known in Korean as Haeseong, meaning Sea Star, is a South Korean ship-launched, sea-skimming surface-to-surface anti-ship cruise missile. Development was completed in 2003, when the Agency for Defense Development successfully test-fired the missile and sank a target dummy vessel, and it entered service in 2006, equipping KDX-II destroyers with eight missiles each, KDX-III destroyers with sixteen each, and Ulsan-class frigates.
