Kestrel (rocket launcher)

The Kestrel is a Taiwanese individual shoulder-launched anti-tank weapon developed between 2008 and 2012 by the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology and in service since 2015 with the Republic of China Armed Forces and Coast Guard Administration. Built from fiber-reinforced plastic with an optical sight compatible with night vision scopes, it is a one-man weapon weighing 5 kilograms with a 67 millimeter caliber and a 110 centimeter length, priced at about 3,100 US dollars per round, effective to 400 meters with its HEAT warhead rocket or 150 meters with an HESH warhead rocket; more than 33,000 have been produced since 2015.
