The KN-25 is a North Korean weapon system first tested in 2019, described by North Korea as a 600 millimeter multiple rocket launcher but classified by South Korea and the United States as a short-range ballistic missile, since it combines features of both. It is 8.2 meters long, weighs about 3,000 kilograms, and has a range of roughly 380 kilometers, carrying either a 300 to 500 kilogram conventional blast-fragmentation warhead or, North Korea has claimed, the Hwasan-31 nuclear warhead. It is intended for battalion-level use against targets such as airfields and command centers in enemy rear areas.
