The B-611 is a Chinese solid fuelled short range ballistic missile developed by the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, with development beginning in 1995 and the missile first shown publicly in 2004. It uses inertial and optical guidance to strike surface targets at ranges of roughly 150 to 400 kilometers with a warhead of 300 to 500 kilograms depending on the variant, and is marketed for export through the China Precision Machinery Import and Export Corporation. China licensed the design to Turkey, where it was developed further into the Turkish J-600T Yildirim and Bora missile families, and current operators of the B-611 itself include China, Myanmar, Qatar and Turkey.
