K Missile Family

The K family is a group of submarine-launched ballistic missiles developed by India to strengthen the country's second-strike capability and nuclear deterrence. Much of the program's detail has been kept classified, but the missiles are reported to be faster, lighter and stealthier than India's land-based Agni missile series, aided by a new composite propellant formulation from the High Energy Materials Research Laboratory.
