The Jericho III is an Israeli intercontinental ballistic missile believed to be based on an upgraded version of the Shavit space launch vehicle, reportedly entering service in 2011. Built by Israel Aerospace Industries as a two or three-stage solid-propellant design, it can carry a single nuclear warhead of an estimated 150 to 400 kilotons or multiple lower-yield warheads, over an estimated operational range of roughly 4,800 to 6,500 kilometers, and is reported to be launchable from a silo or a mobile platform.
