Dragon Cart, developed under the earlier name Rapid Dragon by the United States Air Force Research Laboratory and Lockheed, is a palletized, disposable weapons module airdropped from unmodified cargo aircraft such as the C-130 or C-17 to deploy flying munitions, typically AGM-158 JASSM cruise missiles. Its deployment boxes can be configured to carry from 4 to 45 extended-range JASSM-ER missiles, allowing an unmodified cargo plane to be temporarily repurposed as a standoff bomber striking land or naval targets at ranges of 570 to 1,200 miles (925 to 1,900 km).
