The Kh-38, also built in a Kh-38M version, is a family of Russian standoff air to surface missiles made by the Tactical Missiles Corporation, designed to replace earlier Soviet era systems. Variants use laser, radar, infrared or satellite guidance and reach ranges of up to about 120 kilometers, and the family has also served as the basis for derivative glide bomb versions. The Kh-38ME variant was designed in 2007 and entered service in 2012, with the related Kh-36 entering service in 2019, and the missiles have been used operationally in Syria and Ukraine.
