The M-SAM, also known as KM-SAM or Cheongung, is a South Korean medium-range surface-to-air missile system developed by the Agency for Defense Development with technical support from Russia's Almaz-Antey and Fakel, drawing on technology from the 9M96 missile used on the S-350E and S-400 systems. It was designated Cheolmae-2 during development before being officially renamed Cheongung on completion, and it now serves as a key system in South Korea's Korean Air and Missile Defense network.
