The Crotale is a French, all-weather, short-range air defense missile system developed by Thomson-CSF Matra to intercept cruise or anti-ship missiles, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles and low-flying high-performance aircraft. It exists in a mobile land-based version as well as several naval variants.
