Sparrow (target missile)

The Sparrow, known in Hebrew as Ankor, is an Israeli air-launched ballistic missile developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems primarily to serve as a target drone for testing the Arrow anti-ballistic missile system. First tested on 2 September 2013, it is built in Black, Blue and Silver variants, each simulating a different ballistic missile threat's range and speed with modular, high explosive capable warhead sections. It is distinct from the American AIM-7 Sparrow air-to-air missile, sharing only the name.
