Wasserfall

The Wasserfall, formally the C2 Wasserfall Ferngelenkte Flakrakete, was a German guided supersonic surface-to-air missile project developed during the Second World War. Development was not completed before the war ended and it was never used operationally. The design drew on much of the technology built for the V-2 rocket program, and required additional work including a guidance system able to intercept an aerial target, hypergolic fuels that would let the missile stand ready for launch over days or weeks, and a reliable proximity fuse.
