QF 4.5-inch Mk I - V naval gun

The QF 4.5-inch Mk I gun has been the standard medium-calibre naval gun used by the Royal Navy as a medium-range weapon against surface, aircraft and shore targets since 1938. Despite its nominal 4.5-inch designation, like all British naval guns of that name it has an actual calibre of 4.45 inches (113mm), and this early 45-calibre gun family remained in service into the 1970s before being succeeded by the unrelated 55-calibre 4.5 inch Mark 8 naval gun.
