The F21 is a heavyweight, dual-purpose torpedo developed by Naval Group for the French Navy to replace the older F17, weighing 1,550 kilograms with a range of about 50 kilometers and a top speed of roughly 93 kilometers per hour. Naval Group began delivering F21 torpedoes to the French Navy in 2019, and Brazil adopted the weapon for its own submarines starting in 2020.
