The Mark 37 was an American acoustic anti-submarine torpedo that entered US Navy service in 1956, launched from submarines against other submarines. It homed on its target in stages, running first on a gyroscope course, then passive sonar during the cruise phase, then active Doppler sonar for final homing, and it stayed in US service into the 1970s before being sold to allied navies including Israel and the Netherlands.
