Trophy (countermeasure)

Trophy, known in Hebrew as Windbreaker, is an active protection system for armored military vehicles designed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems of Israel. It supplements a vehicle's built-in armor against anti-tank threats such as guided missiles and rocket propelled grenades, and is fitted to Merkava Mark 4 tanks and Namer armored personnel carriers, with trials also run on Abrams, Stryker and Bradley vehicles. A first production contract was signed in 2007, Israeli certification followed in 2010, and the system has been operational since 2009, recording its first combat intercept in March 2011.
