The Vektor SP1 is a South African semi-automatic service pistol produced since 1992 by Denel Land Systems, formerly Lyttelton Engineering Works, with SP standing for Service Pistol. It is an enhanced development of the earlier Vektor Z88, itself based on the Italian Beretta 92F design, and uses short-recoil operation with a locked breech and a double-action trigger with an exposed hammer.
