The Zastava PAP series is a group of Serbian semi-automatic rifles and pistols based on the Zastava M70 and M77B1 military rifles, made by Zastava Arms and designed in the late 1990s for civilian sale, mainly for export to the United States. They use the same gas-operated, rotating-bolt action and detachable box magazines as their military counterparts but are modified with features such as thumbhole stocks and the removal of bayonet lugs and night-vision mounts to meet United States firearms import rules.
