The XM29 OICW was a series of prototypes for a new type of assault rifle firing 20mm high-explosive airbursting projectiles. The prototypes were developed in the 1990s as part of the Objective Individual Combat Weapon program, and the term SABR was also used for it at certain points, though less commonly.
