Astra Model 44

The Astra Model 44 is a large double-action revolver made by Astra-Unceta y Cia SA in Spain from 1980 to 1989, chambered in .41 Magnum, .44 Magnum or .45 Long Colt with a six-shot swing-out cylinder. Its design and features closely followed the Smith & Wesson Model 29 N-frame revolver, and Interarms imported it into the United States under catalog number 55000, with Lew Horton distributing it during the 1980s. A short-barreled variant nicknamed the Terminator, with a 70mm barrel, was also produced but was dropped in 1989 for lack of demand.
