Black Talon was a line of jacketed hollow-point handgun and rifle ammunition made by Winchester Ammunition from 1991 to 2000, sold initially for law enforcement and civilian self-defense use before Winchester withdrew civilian sales in 1993. The rounds carried a distinctive black Lubalox coating and were engineered with cuts that opened into sharp petal-like edges on impact, and they were offered in nine calibers including 9mm Parabellum, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum.
