The AMR-2, or Anti-Materiel Rifle 2, is a 12.7 millimeter bolt-action sniper rifle developed in China as an anti-materiel weapon and introduced in the early 2000s. It was designed by Sichuan Huaqing Machinery Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of the China South Industries Group, and fires 12.7x108mm cartridges from a five round magazine. The rifle features a free floating barrel with a double baffle muzzle brake to manage recoil, a side folding buttstock with an adjustable cheekpiece, a folding bipod, a detachable rear monopod, and a Picatinny rail for mounting optical or night sights.
