The Heckler and Koch P30 is a polymer framed semi automatic pistol designed by Frank Henninger, chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum or .40 S&W, using a short recoil, Browning type tilting barrel action. The German Federal Customs Administration adopted the pistol in 2006, ordering 13,500 units, and the P30 line has since expanded to variants including the extended slide P30L and the subcompact P30SK with configurable trigger systems. It has since been adopted by police forces across Europe, along with military special operations and security organizations worldwide.
