The PP-19 Bizon is a Russian submachine gun chambered in 9 by 18 millimeter Makarov, developed from 1993 to 1995 by Izhmash under a team led by Victor Kalashnikov, son of Mikhail Kalashnikov, together with Alexei Dragunov, and issued from 1996. It is distinguished by a 64 round helical magazine housed beneath the barrel, a shape often mistaken for a grenade launcher, and versions of the weapon can also be chambered for 9 by 19 millimeter Parabellum, .380 ACP and 7.62 by 25 millimeter Tokarev.
