The Crazy Horse rifle, also known as the M14SE, is a semi-automatic designated marksman rifle based on the M14, chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO and built by Smith Enterprise Inc. since 2003 under designer Ron Smith. It was designed to modernize existing M14 inventory for the United States Army Squad Designated Marksman program, incorporating precision features while remaining, as the manufacturer describes it, a battle rifle rather than a sniper rifle.
