The IWI Galil ACE is a family of assault and battle rifles made by Israel Weapon Industries, formerly Israel Military Industries, chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, 7.62x39mm or 7.62x51mm NATO and in service since 2008. It is a modernized redesign of the original Galil platform, replacing the earlier rifle's all-steel receiver with a lighter steel-and-polymer construction and refining the design for improved accuracy, while keeping the original Galil's ergonomics, ease of maintenance and reliability.
