SIG Sauer Mosquito

The SIG Sauer Mosquito is a blowback-operated, semi-automatic pistol styled after the SIG Sauer P226 but built ten percent smaller and chambered for the .22 LR cartridge. It combines an aluminum-zinc alloy slide with a polymer frame, and carries the same general control layout as the full-size SIG Sauer models: a left-side takedown lever, a left decocking lever, a reversible magazine catch, and an ambidextrous manual safety, plus an integral safety lock at the rear of the magazine well that locks the slide, hammer, and trigger. It has been produced in five configurations, including a standard model, a sport model, and a threaded-barrel model.
