Walther WA 2000

The Walther WA 2000 is a semi-automatic bullpup sniper rifle produced by the Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen company from 1978 to 1988, introduced to the market in 1981 in three different calibers. Production was limited to only 176 rifles and was stopped early because the design was too expensive for widespread sales and not robust enough for military use as a sniper rifle. Its rarity has made it one of the most sought after and valuable production firearms ever made, with auction prices in the United States starting around fifty thousand dollars.
