The Remington Model 7400 is a semi-automatic centerfire rifle built by Remington Arms in the United States from 1981 to 2004, chambered in cartridges including .270 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, and .308 Winchester. It weighed 7.5 pounds, measured 42 inches overall with an 18 inch or 22 inch barrel, and carried a checkered pistol grip stock with a straight comb, iron sights, and a receiver drilled for scope mounting. It succeeded the Model 740, produced from 1952 to 1981, and was itself replaced by the Model 750 in 2006.
