The Smith & Wesson Model 12 is a .38 Special revolver built on Smith & Wesson's medium-sized K-frame, made in the United States from 1953 to 1986. It is an aluminum alloy-frame version of the earlier Model 10, also known as the Military & Police, and was produced in both two-inch and four-inch barrel configurations; early examples also used an aluminum cylinder.
