Hino-Komuro pistol

The Hino-Komuro M1908 was a blow-forward-operated, semi-automatic pistol of Japanese origin, designed by Hino Kumazo around 1903 and patented by Yujiro Komuro, manufactured by Komuro Juhou Seisakusho. About 1,200 were produced between 1908 and 1912 in three calibers, 8mm Nambu, .32 ACP, and .25 ACP, though the 8mm version was discontinued for excessive power. Most production records were destroyed in the Tokyo firebombing of World War II, and a warehouse discovery in December 1992 turned up 17 surviving .32 ACP examples that had been stored for roughly 45 years.
