Browning BDA 380

Small Arms And Sidearms

The Browning BDA 380 was the name under which a blowback, semi-automatic pistol made by Beretta of Italy was sold in the United States and Canada. The same pistol was built by Beretta on behalf of the Belgian firm FN Herstal and sold elsewhere as the FN 140DA. The FN 140DA was produced from 1976 to 1987, and the Browning-marked version from 1977 to 1997. It was chambered for the .380 ACP cartridge, and the FN version also came in .32 ACP. The pistol weighs about 680 grams and is 173 millimetres long overall, with a barrel of 97 millimetres, which makes it a compact handgun in the small and medium caliber range.
