Remington Model 572 Fieldmaster

The Remington Model 572 Fieldmaster is a slide action, manually operated .22 caliber rimfire repeating rifle made by the Remington Arms Company of the United States from 1956 until 2020. It uses an under-barrel tubular magazine capable of feeding .22 Short, .22 Long or .22 Long Rifle cartridges, holding 20 rounds in .22 Short, 17 in .22 Long or 15 in .22 Long Rifle, weighs 5.8 pounds, measures 40 inches overall with a 22.75 or 21 inch barrel, and has an aluminum receiver grooved for scope mounts and a cross-bolt safety. It replaced the earlier Model 121 Fieldmaster and adopted many design features first introduced on the Remington Model 870 shotgun, with production ending in 2020 following the bankruptcy of the parent company of Remington.
